Virtus.pro Bench Buster and YEKINDAR
Virtus.pro have announced that two members of their CS:GO roster – 22-years-old Kazakhstani AWPer Timur "buster" Tulepov and 22-years-old Latvian rifler Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis – have been benched and are available for transfers. The organization’s statement says that the roster failed to meet expectations during the recent events, thus a collective decision has been made to go for changes in the roster.
Buster has been part of Virtus.pro since 2019, while YEKINDAR joined the team in 2020. Together they placed 5-8th at PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and recently finished 12th – 14th at PGL Major Antwerp 2022. According to an insider Aleksey "OverDrive" Biryukov, it was the players decision to leave the active roster – while YEKINDAR is looking to join a top European team, buster is likely to take a break from the competitive scene.
Since February Virtus.pro’s CS:GO roster has been competing under the neutral Outsiders tag, since the organization was sanctioned by ESL for its apparent ties with the Russian government. According to OverDrive, the club is looking to sign Russian players Pyotr "fame" Bolyshev and David "n0rb3r7" Daniyelyan, who currently represent K23.
