PUBG Nations Cup Returns After Three Years

KRAFTON have announced PUBG Nations Cup 2022 – the event will be played this June in Bangkok, Thailand and feature a base prize pool of $500,000, which additionally will be increased through crowdfunding. It will be the first national tournament since 2019.

The tournament’s line-up will feature sixteens national squads from four regions and looks as follows:

  • Americas: USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina
  • APAC: Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia
  • Asia: Korea, China, Japan, Chinese Taipei
  • Europe: United Kingdom, Finland, Germany, Turkey

From June 16th to 19th these teams will compete in 15 matches with super point rule and a special event match. The company will share more information on the event at a later date.

The previous Nations Cup took place on July 9th – 11th in 2019 in Seoul, South Korea. The Russian team won it, while South Korea and Canada placed 2nd and 3rd respectively. This year the line-up does not include any teams from Eastern Europe, since KRAFTON has recently ceased their operations in the region.

Later this month we will see the start of the regional tournaments PUBG Continental Series Season 6. The competitions in the APAC region and in the Americas will be held on April 15th – 24th, while the European and East Asian leagues will take place on April 29th – May 8th. Each of the regions has $250,000 at stake.
