HUNDEN Decides to Leave Heroic
Heroic’s coach Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen has revealed that he is not going to extend his contract with the organization. However, it remains unknown when is the expiration date of his contract. The coach also denied rumours that claim he shared the team’s strategies with other teams.
HUNDEN is a 30-years-old former player, who started his coaching career in the first half of 2020 upon joining Heroic. Sixth month later he was banned by ESIC for the infamous camera bug abuse and was moved to the analyst position. While he returned to his initial role this April, earlier this month the team competed without HUNDEN at IEM Cologne, where they placed 7th – 8th.
Rumours say that HUNDEN might join Astralis later this year, as their current coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen is reportedly going to leave the organization when his contract ends in December. In his statement HUNDEN denies rumours that claim he had shared Heroic’s tactics with other teams. He explained that he shared “anti-strat material of opponents” with his colleagues from other teams “in the context of sparring”.
Earlier Astralis extended contract with their captain Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander for another three years, as well as signed an 18-years-old Philip "Lucky" Ewald as a sixth player. The contracts of other members of the team are set to expire by the end of the year.
Just as other major teams, Heroic are currently enjoying their summer break. Their next listed event is ESL Pro League Season 14, which will be played online from August 16th to September 12th.
