PGL Unveils Invited Teams for Wallachia Season 1
Tournament organizer PGL has invited 10 teams to the first season of PGL Wallachia. The remaining 6 participants of the tournament will be determined in regional qualifiers.
The following teams have been directly invited:
- Team Liquid
- Gaimin Gladiators
- Team Secret
- Team Falcons
- BetBoom Team
- Team Spirit
- Xtreme Gaming
- Aurora
- Shopify Rebellion
- HEROIC
The group stage of the tournament will follow the Swiss system with best-of-3 matches, after which the top 8 teams will advance to the playoffs, while the other participants will leave the tournament. The playoffs will be held in a double-elimination format with best-of-3 matches and a best-of-5 grand final.
PGL Wallachia Season 1 will take place from May 10 to 19. 16 teams will compete for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
