The eighth season of Dota 2 Champions League has concluded with a decisive victory of a European team Entity, which earlier competed as Creepwave. In the tournament’s grand finale the team outplayed Winstrike Team with a 3-0 score, claiming $20,000 in prize money.

Both Entity and Winstrike started the event from its playoffs stage. While Winstrike were able to make it all the way through the upper bracket, where they defeated AS Monaco Gambit (2-1) and CHILLAX (2-0), Entity outplayed HYDRA (2-0) in their first match, but later lost to Virtus.pro (0-2) and dropped to the lower bracket. There they defeated No Monkey Business (2-1), Gambit Esports (2-0), and avenged Virtus.pro (2-1).

D2CL Season 8 was played online from February 21st to March 31st, featuring a $50,000 prize pool. The tournament’s organizers Epic Esports Events have also announced the league’s ninth season, which is scheduled for April 4th – 22nd. The direct invites have been issued to HYDRA, Empire, Gambit, Nemiga, AS Monaco Gambit, V-Gaming, No Sorry, Lilgun, No Monkey Business, Cybercats, CHILLAX, and Yet Another Team. The final two participants will be determined through the open qualifiers which will be played on April 2nd via FACEIT.
