Cloud9 Win IEM XVII – Dallas

Cloud9’s purchase of former Gambit roster is starting to pay off – after their disappointing performance at PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where the mostly Russian line-up placed 12th – 14th, now they managed to win Intel Extreme Masters XVII – Dallas. The victory grants them $100,000 in prize money and a handful of points towards both ESL Pro Tour and PLAST Premier.

Cloud9 advanced to the playoffs from the third place in Group B, thus they started it from the quarterfinals. On their way to the grand finals the team managed to defeat FaZe Clan and BIG, both with the 2-1 scores. In the final series they faced the leaders of Group A, ENCE. The match ended with a 3-0 score in C9’s favour, who managed to beat their opponents at Mirage (16:12), Overpass (16:11) and Ancient (16:3).

Intel Extreme Masters XVII – Dallas was played from May 30th to June 5th at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, United States. The event featured a $250,000 prize pool and was part of the Intel Grand Slam series. The results are following:
