Battle Report Update for Dota 2 Features Multiple Dota Plus Features and 7.31d Gameplay Patch
Tonight VALVE have released the Battle Report Update for Dota 2, which mainly focuses on the improvements for the game’s subscription Dota Plus. The update also include the 7.31d gameplay patch, which does not introduce any major changes to the game, but it introduces Marci to the Captains Mod and has multiple balance adjustments.
As the update’s name shows, the biggest new feature for Dota Plus is the Battle Report, which analyses your games throughout the previous season and shows your best hero and role, as well as compares your overall stats to other similarly skilled players. The report’s Highlights screen features your individual trends and records, while the Analysis tab allows you to dig deep into the numbers. You can claim rewards – Shards – for your accomplishments. The report is formed once per season.
The other new feature is the Weekend Spotlight – once per week the game choses a game mode or an event, creating its own queue and giving out Dota Plus Shards. The first mode is Ability Draft (August 8th – 13th), while the next one will be Overthrow Trios (June 16th – 20th). Winning awards more shards, but the weekly amount of rewards is limited.
The update also introduces other features, including an ability to choose Immortal spell effects regardless of which item your hero is wearing, an in-game tool to capture clips, and additional ways to avoid players in matchmaking. Dota Plus has also received new seasonal quests and rewards. You can learn more about the update on the official page.
